Without Trump's Help, Biden Begins the Transition

Without Trump's Help, Biden Begins the Transition. The President-elect of the United States (US) in the 2020 Election, Joe Biden, continues to carry out the transition of government even without Donald TrumpS help. The former vice president, Tuesday (17/11), held his own virtual meeting with intelligence, defense and diplomatic experts, with no one affiliated with the current government.

Two weeks after the November 3 election, Trump continued to block Biden from receiving national security briefings from his officials, raising questions about whether Biden would have the most up-to-date information on the dangers the country was facing.

"I will not criticize what is obvious. We know that I can't get the direction I usually get now, ”said Biden as he ready to prepare for public health threats and national security challenges, nine weeks before his inauguration.

The 12 participants who attended the meeting, seen on the video screen, included former deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) David Cohen, retired general Stanley McChrystal and the Barack Obama administration's deputy national security adviser, Avril Haines. According to Biden, he is preparing to inherit a divided country and a world that is in disarray.

"That's why I need all of you," said Biden. [source beritasatu.com]
