Facebook launches Trending and inspires new Twitter
Facebook always seeks recipe for associate status of users, highlighted and therefore monetization. And this quest seems increasingly follow the path through Twitter.
After the establishment of hashtags on the social network, Facebook announced that it is currently testing a new feature called " Trending ". The principle is simple: it is to highlight the topics of discussion that are the buzz through the right side of the headband Web interface.
Deployed in five countries
" Trending " is " designed to trace the interesting and relevant conversations to help you discover the best content from Facebook," reads a message posted on the band's website.
First deployed in the U.S., UK, Canada, India and Australia, this new option furiously recalls the ' trending topics ' of Twitter.
These popular topics will be displayed according to the user's profile and preferences based on an analysis of its "Like" says Facebook. Each topic will be accompanied by a brief description ( see screenshot ). Remains to be seen how Facebook will monetize this new offer...
