Roberto Cavalli became a father for the sixth time at the age of 82 (turned off in November 2022). His current partner, 38-year-old model Sandra Nilsson-Bergman, gave birth to Giorgio.
The two have been linked for 15 years and are demonstrating, despite the more than 40-year difference (when they got together she was just over twenty years old) how strong the feeling that binds them is.
The choice of the name given to the child is not accidental, as the designer himself explained:
"I called him Giorgio, like my father, who was shot by the Nazis in the Cavriglia massacre when i was 4 years old. He was a surveyor, worked for a mine in the Valdarno. I was two years old. I didn't speak until 18. But life has been generous with me, it has rewarded me for everything". The birth actually dates back to about a week ago, but it was only made known now (the couple decided not to disclose the date on which it occurred.
Giorgio is the first child that Roberto Cavalli had from Sandra. Before her, the designer had five other children. From his first marriage with Silvanella Giannoni (which lasted from 1964 to 1974), Tommaso and Cristiana were born.
In 1980 he then married the model Austrian Eva Duringer, who also became his collaborator in the fashion house, from which he had Robin, Rachele and Daniele.
In 2016 the brand Cavalli experienced a phase of crisis, which led to the cutting of 200 jobs, but now that period seems to be finally behind us thanks also to the choice to rely on Fausto Puglisi, who holds the role of creative director.
Even the new mother can boast an important experience in the world of fashion, which began as a model when she was only 14 thanks to a talent scout who had decided to focus on her.
There were also awards in beauty contests, including those of Miss Siren, Miss EU, Miss World Bikini Model and Miss Hawaiian, to which was added the band of most beautiful woman in Sweden in 2006. In 2008, however, appeared on the cover of the American magazine Playboy.
The 82-year-old has always defended his feelings for Sandra from gossips, to whom he decided to give in 2015 as a token of love the island of Stora Rullingen, in Sweden, of worth about 2 million euros.
