Thierry Henry finally moved away from Europe. Bomber Frenchman chose to leave Barcelona and join the club of the United States, New York Red Bull.
Former Arsenal striker 32-year-old has finally decided to spend his old age in the MLS. Henry agreed to leave Barcelona after the Catalan select the release, although still under contract next year.
"This marks a new chapter in life and my career," he said in an official statement by Red Bull quoted by Reuters.
Red Bull's own party expressed delight with the merger of the top scorer was Les Bleus. Henry is believed to be able to help the team's performance and ability to attain the title of Red Bull.
"Very nice Henry decided to move to New York to help the Red Bulls won the competition this season and going forward. His experience at international level has proven himself a winner," said Red Bull's owner, Dietmar Beiersdorfer.
Henry will start his first game in New York on July 22 when the Red Bull entertain the English club, Tottenham Hotspur, in their new stadium Red Bull Arena Stadium.
