New resort in Venise-en-Quebec - A new resort named Venice-sur-le-lac was inaugurated last week in the small town of Venise-en-Quebec, on Lake Champlain, in Montérégie. It consists of the Auberge du Lac Champlain (rooms, cottages and spa) and a new restaurant and bistro terrace focusing on local produce and a cruise ship.
"Our project aims to revitalize the region of Venise-en-Quebec building on its natural attractions, said in a statement Pierre Parent, president of Venice-sur-le-lac. This idea has become even more significance after the spring floods in 2011 that devastated part of the territory. "
The new resort offers 34 rooms, a meeting room, a spa, a sauna, a steam room, a massage service and a gym, plus a swimming pool with salt water, a beach refurbished and new restaurant L'O 'Vive. Activities such as tennis, golf, cycling, kayaking, sailing and pedal boating are also available to visitors.
These new facilities are added to the cruises on the Missisquoi Bay of Lake Champlain Cruises, a company launched in 2011 by the same owners as Venice-sur-le-lac.
Several packages of water focusing on the beauty of places and attractions of the region are available, such as sunset cruises, brunch on the weekend or cruise getaways combining findings of the lake and stops on Route des Vins.
