Experts Investigate H7N9 Flu in China

Special team from the World Health Organization (WHO), which consists of experts influenza illness will go to China this week to assist in the investigation of cases of deadly H7N9 virus spread.

WHO spokesman, Glenn Thomas, during a press conference in Geneva, Switzerland, confirmed, will be leaving the team consisted of four experts in the field of epidemiology and transmission of the virus and several WHO staff. While other WHO spokesman, Gregory Hartl, said at least six delegates will be sent to China to do research.

Chinese government news agency Xinhua quoted on Wednesday (17/04/2013), has confirmed that the number of cases of H7N9 influenza infection has reached 77 cases with the death toll reached 16 people.
